Our club is more than just a karate class. We offer training and support to students from all types of backgrounds, whether you suffer from lack of confidence or bullying, want to lose weight or just simply get fit and make new friends, we are the club for YOU! We have a strong instructor team who offer one-to-one guidance and pride ourselves on our lively communal atmosphere which has, and always will be the foundation of our club.

OUR CLASSES

We have classes available for everyone!

In both the beginners and advanced classes we train a variety of areas from basics and stances to sparring and traditional shotokan and goju-ryu katas. The lesson is dependent on what grades and capabilities are present.

We also have semi contact sparring classes and alternate training lessons for those who want to develop their sparring further, and other skills outside of Karate. We have a variety of ages and capabilities in this lesson so all are welcome.

We hold an annual sports day once a year in the local park which all young people, parents and families from the club can get involved in. Its a great morning and enjoyed well by everyone who participates.

To help raise money for the club to gain new equipment and to build on our dojo; we do a yearly sponsored walk and Karatathon.

TOURNAMENT TEAM

I

We also offer a 4 hour class for those aspiring to take their training to the next level. This class is divided into three areas, fitness, kata training and sparring drills. We compete in various local and national competition's throughout the year which we are highly successful in. The tournament team also do their own fundraising to help with the competition equipment and tournaments.

This lesson has  helped our team secure a total of: 6 World champion titles and multi local, national and European titles.

If you do wish to take part in this class please contact Sensei Gill via the contact us page.

OUTSIDE OF THE DOJO

Outside of our fully equipped dojo, we like to give back to the surrounding communities by extending our teachings to local schools and youth outreach centre.

In the past, we have worked closely with Teenage Kicks to help provide GSCE PE and science. Alongside this, we have helped mentor young people to help them become better equipped at dealing with their individual challenges as well as learning about the law.

At the end of the year, we celebrate all our students and those who have helped with the club in a presentation evening followed by a Christmas party. Various awards are given out during the yet which is followed by party games and a buffet!
